This Privacy Policy explains how DHDS, LLC ("DHDS," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with SoftRise (the "App").

Summary

SoftRise is designed as a local-first sleep clock, sleep sound, unwind timer, and alarm app. Your clock preferences, sound selections, saved blends, favorites, routine settings, and alarm settings are primarily stored on your device.

Information Stored in the App

The App may store app settings, selected clock styles, sound favorites, saved sound blends, playlist choices, timer settings, fade settings, wake alarm settings, and related routine preferences on your device. We do not operate a user account system for SoftRise.

Device Permissions

SoftRise may request location access only to align supported clock scenes with your local sunrise and sunset. Location is used for that in-app display behavior and is not used by us for advertising. SoftRise may request notification or alarm-related permissions so wake alarms, alarm tests, and bedtime reminders can work as expected.

Audio, Mixes, and Local Playback

SoftRise includes bundled sleep sounds and lets you create saved sound blends. Playback, mix settings, volume, balance, and routine choices are handled locally by the App and iOS audio systems.

Subscriptions and Purchases

SoftRise Plus subscriptions, free trials, purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your full payment card details. Apple may provide subscription status information needed to unlock paid features.

Support Communications

If you contact us for support, we may receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any information you choose to include. Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the support request.

Third-Party Services

SoftRise uses Apple platform services such as StoreKit, notifications, alarms, and system audio. Those services are governed by Apple's terms and privacy policies. SoftRise does not include an ad network in its current subscription-based release plan.

Children's Privacy

SoftRise is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local app data remains on your device until you change settings, delete saved items, clear local app data where available, or uninstall the App. Support emails may be retained as needed to respond to requests, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.

Health and Safety

SoftRise is a general wellness and productivity app. It is not medical care and does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure sleep disorders or other health conditions. Do not rely on the App as the only method for time-critical alarms, medical needs, safety needs, or emergencies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
